Celebrating Filipino Heritage Night at Madison Square Garden

It’s amazing how the Filipino community can become such a huge influence to others, especially when we all come together like what we witnessed during NaFFAA’s 2nd Annual Filipino-American Heritage Night at no less than the most famous arena in the world – Madison Square Garden in New York City.

In this So On The Go episode, we compiled key moments from key people within the community — from NaFFAA Chair Brendan Flores, MSG representatives Kathryn Williams and Phil Young, NBA Legend John Starks, PH Consul General Elmer Cato, NY State Assemblyman Steven Raga, and even our very own Jannelle So representing #SoJannelleTV.

We also hear inspiring insights from outstanding Filipino-Americans from different walks of life who proudly shared experiences of their own about being loud and proud in reforming the world through their own individual identities. The relentless optimism that we have as Filipinos transcends even beyond everything we do, because that’s just who we are and that’s how powerful the Filipino community can be.
