Musicians and Performers Come Together for Philippine American Friendship Day

A Filipino celebration would not be complete without some singing and dancing! As we wrap up our coverage of this year’s Philippine American Friendship Day, we will be putting the spotlight on talented Filipino artists who brought the fun onstage.

A variety of pop songs and Filipino original music were performed by several Filipino musicians like Kiana Valenciano, Robin Nievera, Felson Palad, Lyndon Apostol, and Garth Garcia. There were group performances from pop rock band Playback Jukebox, up and coming young girl group Synergy, Filipino Cultural School, and Club Magkaisa. Shane Seloria, a Pinoy ventriloquist, also participated in the event.

Robin Nievera, who is one of the performers, recalled moving to the U.S. three years ago. He shared his gratitude to all the Filipinos living abroad and how he intends to actively be involved in celebrating the Filipino community and take part in all kinds of celebration with fellow Filipinos.

Similarly, Kiana Valenciano, mentions that she loves being surrounded by the community and how important it is to celebrate Filipino culture and celebrating one another.
