Philippine American Friendship Day would not be possible if it weren’t for the diligent organizers and sponsors who took part in this event. Elected officials and dignitaries also came out to express their full support and appreciation to the Filipino-American community.
Some of the officials that were present are Melissa Ramoso – Mayor of City of Artesia, CA, Viktor Sanchez – Councilmember, City of Bellflower, CA, Ariel Pe – Mayor Pro Tem of City of Lakewood, CA, Mayor Chuong Vo – City of Cerritos, CA, Mark Pulido – Former Mayor of City of Cerritos, CA, Lynda Johnson – Councilmember of City of Cerritos, CA, Ambrosio Bryan Enciso – Philippine Deputy Consul, Fiona Ma – CA State Treasure, Rachelle Arizmendi – Councilmember of City of Sierra Madre, CA, Alex Villanueva of Los Angeles County Sheriff, LA County Supervisor Janice Hahn, and Dan Nino – Overall PAFD 2022 Event Chair of NaFFAA GLA.
Mayor Chuong Vo, acknowledges Cerritos as being one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the U.S. and shares his gratitude to NaFFAA for organizing this special occasion.
Supervisor Janice Hahn mentions that she is elated to take part in this festival as it is an opportunity to celebrate Filipino-American culture and further uplift the Filipino-American leaders in the communities.
