Ariel Pe on Making History as the First Filipino Councilmember in Lakewood

A trailblazer in the Filipino-American community, Ariel Pe is the first Filipino ever to be elected to the council of City of Lakewood. He is currently serving as the Mayor Pro Tem in a city with a predominantly White community. Ariel, who considers himself a public servant more than a politician, shares in this So Inspiring segment his early roots of being a volunteer, the numerous opportunities and involvements that opened doors to entering public service, and how he uses his position to make a difference and be a voice to his people.
