Martial arts is done with accuracy and technique while acting is open to more creativity and expression. So to be able to perform in both fields is something we’re so amazed by with this week’s #SoHot feature, Kieran Tamandong.
In Part 1, Kieran shares how he discovered acting while being in the martial arts industry most of his childhood. And with his set of skills from his initial craft, he was able to use it to land his first gig in a Sketchers commercial which jumpstarted his career in the acting industry.
With his most recent role on Netflix series “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”, he tells us how much of a huge step it was to land this project comparing it to every show he’s ever been on which truly challenged him as an actor. And by learning more about the Laotian culture, he was able to portray his role professionally and with precision while working closely with Ryan Murphy and his co-stars.
