Last month, we reported on the Roque family, who fell victim to a despicable hate crime when a white man violently attacked them at a McDonald’s drive-through in North Hollywood, CA.
Since then, the Roque family and their supporters have been fighting for justice and accountability for this horrible hate crime.
The Roque family and their supporters have been working tirelessly to confront hate with interracial solidarity, build community power, and demand accountability and change from institutions that should prioritize people’s health and lives instead of business as usual.
Today, April 17th will be the decision from the judge if they should move to trial. We send our heartfelt support to the Roque family and hope for justice to prevail.
This decision is a step towards justice for the Roque family, and we hope it brings them closer to healing and closure.
We continue to stand with the Roque family and all those who have been affected by hate crimes. If you want to support their campaign, please visit bit.ly/3JLKjtr
