Their non-speaking autistic boys were abused by their teacher aide for months, but the Wongs refused to back down. They fought for five years to be the voice for their twins and other special needs children who can’t advocate for themselves.
Justice was finally served after four grueling weeks of court hearings, and the Wongs were awarded a staggering $45M in damages.
However, there has been a recent development: the School District has decided to appeal the case. As a result, the story is still unfolding.
