Uniting as One Filipino Community to #StopTheHate

Asian hate crimes have been an ongoing issue for a lot of Filipinos, especially during the pandemic where more of us have been victimized. It’s staggering how we still grapple with these crimes which gives us all the more reason to raise awareness about it and #StopTheHate

On this So Informed Segment, we hear insights from Apl.De.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas and Adrienne Nakashima of South Coast Botanic Garden on their take about the ongoing hate crimes happening around and how we should address it. NaFFAA Region Chair, Ryan Namata, lets us in as well on his experiences with bullying and the story of when Purple Patch was vandalized and how the Filipino community responded to it. They let us feel this sense of hope that eventually, the situation could be better and that we must continue to be smart and strong in making tough choices because at the end of the day, it’s the Filipino community that will always have our backs.
