💗 #Kakampinks Assemble! The Preamble of the Philippine Constitution describes best who Filipinos truly are:
“We, the sovereign Filipino people, imploring the aid of Almighty God, in order to build a just and humane society, and establish a Government that shall embody our ideals and aspirations, promote the common good, conserve and develop our patrimony, and secure to ourselves and our posterity, the blessings of independence and democracy under the rule of law and a regime of TRUTH, JUSTICE, freedom, LOVE, equality, and peace…”
Last October 17, Global Filipinos For Leni (GFFL) had their 2nd Summit with Sen. @bamaquino as their special guest. Recalling VP #LeniRobredo’s speech on Oct. 7th when she declared her candidacy, “Mas radikal ang magmahal” — Filipinos from the East Coast and the West Coast, came together on October 31st to show their love for the Philippines through #PinkCaravans of Hope. According to the organizers, these caravans proclaim their desire and hope for a just and humane Philippine government that is competent to handle the pandemic, one that is efficient and NOT corrupt — and VP @lenirobredo has proven this with her track record of being given the highest rating by the PH Commission on Audit (COA), which is a mark of transparency and integrity in governance, as well as her successful projects that have benefitted thousands of Filipinos, under the OVP’s #AngatBuhay program.
In New York, GFFL co-founder #LoidaLewis @loidanlewis was hoping for “at least 20 to 25 cars” to join them, but she and her team were overwhelmed by the support of almost 100 cars and families who joined the caravan on a Sunday morning in Queens, NY. They went through Filipino communities in Roosevelt and Woodside, and even passed by @JollibeeUSA and @RedRibbon, where Filipinos flock to get a small taste of home. The caravan ended on 69th street, a block away from the Phil-Am Mart and where Filipino restaurants are also located.
In West Covina, CA, GFFL co-founder #RocioNuyda @dewdropsrocio had planned for about 70-80 cars who signed up to join their caravan. But when they came together, she was surprised to find 145+ cars all dressed up with pink decor, balloons and ribbons — with families enthusiastic to show their support for the candidacy of the Philippine Vice President @lenirobredo! “It was truly touching,” says Ms. Nuyda. “These are Filipinos, many of whom are dual citizens, who are believe that the Philippines will be better under the leadership of a competent and honest public servant, a brave Bicolana, and a nurturing mother who truly understands what our ailing country needs right now — none other than VP Leni Robredo.”
