Singer/Performer Lyndon Apostol on His Tenacity and Passion for the Arts

Being an immigrant at a very young age is not an easy journey to take. But for Lyndon Apostol, a singer/performer, his strong sense of self and having discipline gave him the tenacity to conquer whatever it is that was thrown at him.

Lyndon was born in Tarlac, Philippines and became a first-generation immigrant when he moved to Thousand Oaks, Southern California at the age of 10 years old. From growing up in a barrio, he had to adjust to the urban lifestyle in America. He earned his Philosophy and English degree at University of California, Los Angeles where he was able to further hone his passion for the arts and his skills in performing.

While being an artist can sometimes be challenging, he believes that one must be both creative and business-minded. He adds that by learning what you’re passionate about, you refine it, find what works for you and how it will resonate to other people. With Lyndon knowing what he wants along with his fortitude that he developed during his early years, he says that he thinks he’s where he wants to be.

Catch Lyndon Apostol this coming July 9 at Don Knabe Community Regional Park in Cerritos, CA for Philippine American Day. He will be showcasing his versatility with performances of OPM, musical theater, and more!
