Sofronio Vasquez, born and raised in Mindanao, immigrated to the U.S. in pursuit of the American dream. A licensed dentist in the Philippines, he initially came to America with intentions of continuing his dental career but soon felt called back to his passion for music. His journey began with cruise ship performances and led to auditioning for The Voice. In December of 2024, Sofronio became the Season 26 winner. The first Asian male and the first Filipino to win the competition.
