Even from her humble beginnings in Hong Kong, Chona Bacaoco has always been a firecracker. She shared intimate details of her life with #SoJannelleTV to inspire more Filipinos to do the same.
Having worked with a multitude of models who have suffered from differing levels of depression and anxiety, Chona took it upon herself to help them heal and be the voice of people who are suffering silently, as she admitted to having the first-hand experience of these inner demons.
Her latest show, dubbed “Pluto,” was inspired by a friend who suffered from suicidal thoughts. Chona motivated her instead to put her focus on creativity rather than focusing on what troubled her. This created a fruitful mesh of genius, which led to the creation of MM Milano’s latest line.
As her parting message, Chona urged everyone to be kind and be brave to speak up. Do it for yourself, not to please anyone, but take it as a testament to your own fearlessness.
