FASO: The First Filipino Symphony Orchestra Outside The Philippines

The Filipino American Symphony Orchestra (FASO) makes history as the first and only Filipino orchestra outside the Philippines. Being in existence for over 14 years, they perform a diverse selection of music ranging from OPM, traditional Filipino music, Western music, orchestral and vocal music, and so on.

Led by musical director/conductor Maestro Robert Shroder, conductor and educational director/orchestral arranger/VP board of directors Louie Ramos, they believe in the future of young individuals by cultivating their artistry and love for Filipino music. @fasothefilipinoamericansym5010 also provides scholarships to those who wish to pursue a career in music and holds recitals and concerts to showcase the orchestra’s talent to the community.

In line with this, #FASO will be having their concert entitled ‘Celebration’ on August 20 at Walt Disney Concert Hall featuring the music of OPM legend Jose Mari Chan. Catch more of what’s to come as they prepare and rehearse for the upcoming event.
