5 Years of Bringing Stories of Immigration and Representation at So Jannelle TV

July is a very special month for our show and our team as we celebrate the 5th anniversary of So Jannelle TV. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to each and everyone of you who has been with us through the years. We exist because of you and exist for you as we continue to bring stories of immigration and representation in order to entertain and inspire.

In celebration of our anniversary, we will be bringing back four of the most inspiring and memorable immigrant stories that we have featured over the last five years.

Puey Quiñones, a Filipino fashion designer who was caught up in a controversy, became depressed and moved to the States not knowing what to do, but was able to bounce back and rebuild his career in the fashion industry.

Miguel Vera, a singer, actor, and performer who left Philippine show business, and found a quiet and contented life in the U.S. with his new career as a truck driver.

Princess Punzalan, an iconic multi-awarded actress who left at the height of her career because of a newfound love and eventually became a hospice nurse in the States.

And Reagan John Rada, a teacher from the Philippines who ended up becoming a caregiver upon moving to the U.S. He was an undocumented immigrant for 8 years, but was able to overcome all difficulties and landed on a big opportunity of becoming one of the personal jewelry designers of Dame Elizabeth Taylor. At present, he is an accomplished entrepreneur living in New York City.
