Maria Quiban Whitesell’s new book, “You Can’t Do It Alone,” is an excellent guide for navigating life through turbulent storms and the road to recovery. When her husband, Sean, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (GBM), they went through all the usual stages of grief but found the light at the end of the tunnel: their purpose.
Since Glioblastoma (GBM) is one of the least funded and researched diseases, this spurred a fire within Maria and Sean to shine a light on this disease and spread awareness. It became Maria and Sean’s purpose to write the book in hopes of inspiring others to study GBM further and fund money for its research.
GBM has no cure at the moment, but with tears welling in her eyes, Maria’s wish is that researchers, doctors, and scientists find a cure for this disease within her lifetime.
Maria’s parting words were targeted at those who want to share their passions with the world: take advantage of social media and other mediums. Use them to your advantage and share your creations with the world!
