Acknowledging the hugeness and importance of Filipino Americans, Los Angeles World Airports CEO Justin Erbacci together with Board of Public Works Commissioner Jessica Caloza spearheaded a series of activities in celebration of the #FilipinoAmericanHistoryMonth. Considered as one of the most popular and busiest airports in the world, the #LosAngelesInternationalAirport (LAX) is definitely a hub where diverse cultures meet and a perfect location to introduce to the passengers, both Filipinos and non-Filipinos, the meaningful contribution of Filipino Americans in the U.S. soil.
“Filipinos are part of the American narrative. the history of America and we have to occupy space in all parts of this nation and why not LAX?”, Peter De Guzman of the Malaya Filipino American Dance Arts stated as their group showcased the traditional dance and arts from the Mindanao Region of the Philippines.
