Irish Magno: Punching her way to the Philippines’ first Olympic Gold

#TokyoOlympics qualifier, #IrishMagno, is now part of Philippine boxing history being the first female boxer to represent the country in the prestigious international sporting event. Magno is one of the four Filipino boxers training hard to get the country the elusive Olympics gold medal, alongside Eumir Marcial, Carlo Paalam and another Filipina boxer, Nesthy Petecio.?

In this So Game segment, she opens up with correspondent #RyanSongalia on how she overcame gender roles in a highly male-dominated sport and how she is battling with confidence issues after sustaining more losses than wins in her career. Now, she’s ready to take the big step forward and roll huge punches to bring glory to her country.??
