In this segment of So Happening, we look back on 2020 and celebrate huge Filipino moments in the industry of Film.

One of the guests that joined us last October 2020, was Cecilia Mejia. She’s Filipino American film producer focusing on Socially impactful stories. Cecilia talked about her journey to becoming one of the most sought after young film producers of today, and how the Filipino-American Community continues to work in supporting FilAm Filmmakers.

PJ Raval is another FIlipino American Filmmaker who uses Filmmaking as a medium on Activism. He created “Come & Take It” which is a short documentary that follows Jessica Jin’s transformation from a college student into one of America’s boldest anti-gun violence activist.
